The third Manchester derby of the Under-18 Premier League season ended all-square on Saturday as visitors United took the lead in each half, only for City to cancel out both goals. In the second period, Zak Dearnley's strike shortly before the hour mark put Kieran McKenna's young Reds back in front. Nmecha then levelled again, 21 minutes from time, and his side might have snatched the win had it not been for some resilient defending by United.
Angel Gomes opened the scoring in the 25th minute but Lukas Nmecha netted the first of his two equalisers just six minutes later.
