Conor McGregor has weighed in on the European Super League fallout, tweeting that he is considering buying Manchester United following their controversial bid to form a breakaway league.
The Red Devils were one of 12 clubs to pledge their support for the £4.6bn scheme, described as a 'close shop' by critics amid fears that it would change the football landscape forever.
However, on Tuesday evening the plan begun to unravel with Chelsea and Manchester City looking to withdraw from the competition, while United announced that chief executive Ed Woodward will leave his role at the end of 2021.
