UEFA have confirmed that Belgium's game against Sweden in Brussels this evening has been abandoned.
The European Championship qualifier was halted at half time on Monday evening after two football fans were shot dead in the city with the perpetrator still on the loose.
The stadium where the game is being played, the King Baudouin Stadium, was put into lockdown with the fans and players being held inside before they were escorted out.
'Following a suspected terrorist attack in Brussels this evening, it has been decided, after consultation with the two teams and the local police authorities, that the UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying match between Belgium and Sweden is abandoned,' a statement from UEFA read.
