That was once again the case on Sunday night, following the Reds’ sensational 6-2 victory over historic rivals Leeds United, when our Portuguese magnifico was in a great mood after registering two goals and an assist.
Fernandes was not the only player to score twice at Old Trafford, of course, and his influential performance was arguably overshadowed by his fellow midfielder Scott McTominay, who became the first player in Premier League history to score twice inside the opening three minutes of a game.
