Barely 12 months into a three-and-a-half-year deal with D.C. United, Wayne Rooney is in talks with Derby County to become a player-coach at Pride Park, according to the Telegraph.

And Sky Sports' Jim White took that news one step further, reporting that the former England captain is traveling from D.C. back to the U.K. overnight, and is expected to arrive at the club on Tuesday afternoon.
