The French giants sent representatives, including Michael Emenalo, to look at the 17-year-old play in a recent 1-0 win against Reading at Craven Cottage.
As well as Monaco, Tottenham and Manchester United have both been linked with the £30m-rated teenager, who became the first player outside the top flight to be shortlisted for the PFA Young Player of the Year award.
