Transfer report: Bayern Munich set to pay £36m fee to make James Rodriguez move permanent

Bayern Munich will stump up £36million to complete the permanent signing of Manchester United and Liverpool target James Rodriguez.

The in-demand Columbian star has rediscovered recaptured his best form since joining Bayern on a two-year loan deal from Real Madrid last summer.

Rodriguez has netted five times in 28 appearances in all competitions and his all-round performances have impressed the Bayern hierarchy.

So much so, that the German champions are willing to splash out the £36m fee, which formed part of their two-year loan agreement with Madrid, a year early.
