Speaking to MUTV after the win, the 22-year-old reflected on being the first-ever United Women player to reach this historic landmark.
She said: “I’m delighted to make 100 appearances. Every game in this shirt is special, so to get 100 is amazing. I’m really proud and hopefully, I can get many more.”
The attacker played for United at youth level and returned to the club in 2018 following stints with Blackburn Rovers and Manchester City.
The Reds were in the Championship at that time and after scoring on her league debut - an emphatic 12-0 victory away to Aston Villa - Toone helped the side to promotion in her first season.
