Chelsea have been urged to consider signing yet another new striker by former Blues forward Tony Cascarino due to Timo Werner's profligacy in front of goal.
Cascarino offered a withering assessment of Werner's finishing credentials and claimed that it cost his team in their 1-1 draw against Manchester United at the weekend.
Writing in The Times, Cascarino said Werner's impact at Chelsea could end up being less than Fernando Torres.
Romelu Lukaku was signed for £97.5m in the summer to ease the burden on Werner
Torres scored 45 goals in 172 games at Chelsea after leaving Liverpool in a £50m deal but the Spaniard failed to even nearly recapture his stunning form at Anfield.
