Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller has admitted that he contemplated the idea of signing for Manchester United in 2015.
Muller was the subject of a world-record bid from the Red Devils, with then-boss Louis van Gaal keen to reunite with the man who rewarded his faith at Bayern with six goals in eight Bundesliga games during a title-winning breakout season in 2009-10.
Despite thinking about joining Van Gaal at Old Trafford, Muller was convinced to stay loyal to Bayern, with whom he has won six Bundesliga crowns in total, as well as the Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup in 2013.
