Thomas Frank has said that he remains 'optimistic' Brentford can re-sign Christian Eriksen this summer.
Eriksen, who arrived at Brentford for the second half of last season and hit the ground running under Frank, this week verbally agreed to join Manchester United on a three-year deal.
The Dane had spent much of the summer weighing up offers from Premier League heavyweights United and relative new boys Brentford, and appears to have opted for the chance to play under Erik ten Hag.
However, Frank has said that he remains optimistic over Brentford's chances of being able to retain the Dane's services for next season.
