Thomas Muller has admitted that the Bayern Munich squad were surprised by Marcel Sabitzer's deadline day move to Manchester United.
Sabitzer, the first Austrian to play for Man United, sealed a loan deal until the end of the season as Erik ten Hag desperately searched for a replacement for Christian Eriksen, who has been ruled out for three months.
The 28-year-old had become frustrated at a shortage of game time at Bayern since Julian Nagelsmann, his coach at Leipzig, took him to the Allianz Arena with him in the summer of 2021.
