'Tears in my eyes... Hopefully he never ever gets involved with the club again': Manchester United fans celebrate on social media as Ed Woodward sees out his last day as executive vice chairman having failed to build a title winning team in nine years

Manchester United may have endured a quiet January transfer window that saw them fail to bring in any new signings.

However, some fans appear to be in a joyful mood despite the lack of deadline day action following the departure of Ed Woodward as executive vice chairman.

After the failed European Super League debacle last spring, Woodward announced he would be stepping down from his role in the future.
