Stuart Pearce has backed Newcastle beat Manchester United in the Carabao Cup final.
Both teams overcame their opponents in the semi-finals of the competition this week, with Newcastle defeating Southampton 3-1 on aggregate while United beat Nottingham Forest 5-0 over two legs.
They will face off in the tournament's showpiece event at Wembley on February 26 in what will be the Magpies' first cup final since 1999.
Eddie Howe's side are enjoying a stellar season, with their appearance in the Carabao Cup final complementing their third place position in the Premier League, where they have conceded just 11 goals in 20 games.
