After the final whistle, the manager said that he believed the injury looked worse than it actually was, with Lingard withdrawing himself as a precaution.
“He tweaked his hamstring, so he didn’t feel like he could risk it. But hopefully it’s not too bad,” Solskjaer said.
Ole added that our no.14 was unlikely to feature against Newcastle United at St James’ Park on Sunday, but suggested that, at this early stage, he could be okay to return after the international break.
