Marc Skinner has vowed the squad will work hard over the next week to fix an "uncharacteristic" performance from Manchester United during Friday night's WSL defeat to Liverpool.
United came into the game at Anfield off the back of seven successive league wins and initially dominated proceedings. But two Liverpool goals late in the first half made it an uphill battle after the break, with the hosts adding a third from the penalty spot before Maya Le Tissier netted a consolation.
Skinner felt that United had "control of the game" but were let down by momentary lapses and a lack of attacking ruthlessness, which he said hasn't usually been the case for the Reds this season.
