Sir Alex pays tribute to Graham Taylor

Sir Alex Ferguson has paid tribute to former England manager Graham Taylor who passed away earlier today (Thursday) at the age of 72.

The two men pitted their wits against each other on numerous occasions when Sir Alex was in charge of Manchester United and Graham was boss of Aston Villa and, most famously, Watford.

Speaking as a board member of the League Managers' Association, Sir Alex said: "Graham was one of the old-school managers. He started as a very young man of 28, having suffered a career-ending injury as a player.

"His first appointment was at Lincoln City where he had to dig deep to make an impression in his new career.
