Former Roma star Daniele De Rossi has admitted he has always 'loved' Manchester United but decided not to join the club due to their 'incredible players'.
The midfielder enjoyed an illustrious career before hanging up his boots in January. The 36-year-old won the 2006 World Cup with Italy and became a legend at Roma, making 616 appearances across 17 seasons. A move to Old Trafford was on the cards for the defensive maestro but he opted to remain in Serie A.
In an interview with Sky Sports, De Rossi explained that the decision to stay was because Roy Keane and Paul Scholes were 'incredible players'.
