Sheffield United are interested in a loan deal for out-of-favour Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard, reports MEN.
Chris Wilder's side are looking to get their season up and running with some reinforcements in the January transfer window, after enduring the worst start in top-flight history.
Their 3-2 defeat by United on Thursday evening was their 12th in 13 matches, with their solitary point coming in a 1-1 draw against Fulham in October.
The side might be restricted to loan deals in the window however, after spending £53million on new signings in the summer transfer window.
