'Shameful and beyond belief': Fans SLAM £7.50 cheese hotdog sold outside Manchester United's Old Trafford as 'CRIMINAL' - with claims that even 'Fyre festival had better food'

A cheese hotdog being sold for £7.50 outside Manchester United's Old Trafford has been blasted as 'pathetic' and 'shameful' on social media.

The fast food item sent fans into a frenzy after a picture showed a plain hotdog sitting on a small pile of grated cheese inside an untoasted bun.

The no-frills hotdog infuriated fans further when discovering that it would set punters back £7.50 – and that's without chips as a side dish.

The post by Twitter account Footy Scran has been viewed more that two million times and people have not held back in what they think of the concession.
