Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero 'wants his contract terminated' so he can leave the Old Trafford club.

Romero has fallen down the pecking order with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer preferring David de Gea, Dean Henderson and Lee Grant as his three choices.

The Argentine was regarded by many as the best No 2 stopper in the Premier League last season but he has been omitted from United's Premier League and Champions League squads this term.
