Diogo Dalot may have been named man of the match during Manchester United's win at Brentford on Wednesday night, but for Rio Ferdinand there was only one standout performer.

United won 3-1 in west London courtesy of second-half goals from Anthony Elanga, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford.

BT Sport's co-commentator Martin Keown named the visitors' right back Dalot as man of the match to the disbelief of Ferdinand who felt central midfielder Scott McTominay was the catalyst for their triumph.

That's according to Rio Ferdinand who said he was 'head and shoulders above everybody'

McTominay's Manchester United team-mate Diogo Dalot (left) was named man of the match

'Martin [Keown] on commentary was the person who gave Dalot man of the match, I couldn't believe it,' Ferdinand said after the game on BT Sport.
