Saul Niguez's representatives will reportedly fly into the UK on Monday in an attempt to end the uncertainty surrounding the midfielder's future.
The 26-year-old has been at Atletico Madrid since he was 14, but his time in Spain looks set to come to an end this summer.
And according to the Mirror, the next stage of his career is set to be in England after Atletico gave Saul's team the go-ahead to negotiate a move away from the club.
Manchester United are in pole position to add to a summer window that has already seen them bring in Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane but securing the midfielder's signature, but they will face competition from rivals Liverpool.
