Manchester United’s Under-23s got their pre-season preparations under way, as Ricky Sbragia was back at the helm after a break of almost 12 years, with a game against nearby Salford City of the National League.
United looked very smart in their brand new adidas-designed kit, which is the traditional red shirts, white shorts and black shorts. Salford City, took the field wearing all-blue, but with no numbering which, to say the least, made identification a trifle difficult.
