Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds has contacted Manchester United goalkeeper Nathan Bishop to praise the way he handled the backlash over Wrexham striker Paul Mullin puncturing his lung.
Mullin was injured in the early stages of Wrexham's 3-1 win over a young United side in San Diego on Tuesday night when he collided with Bishop.
United's fourth-choice keeper was lucky to get away with a yellow card and was loudly booed for the rest of the first half before being replaced at the interval.
Furious manager Phil Parkinson warned Bishop to keep away from Wrexham over the 'reckless' challenge.
