Ryan Giggs to take up part-time role with football academy in Vietnam

Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs is set to take on a role as technical director of the PVF Football Academy in Vietnam.

Local media reported that the academy had reached a two-year agreement with Giggs that will see him act as a consultant throughout the year, while he will coach youth players and train coaches during two visits to the academy in each 12-month period.

The PVF's website explained that Giggs, who is co-owner of non-league club Salford City, would play a part in "building and developing PVF to become the leading youth football training centre in Vietnam.
