Rui Faria calls Mark Clattenburg's refereeing 'fantastic' in Man Utd draw

Manchester United assistant manager Rui Faria said there had been "fantastic work by the referee" Mark Clattenburg, after midfielder Ander Herrera was sent off in a 0-0 home draw against Burnley at Old Trafford.

Herrera received a second yellow card despite appearing to slip and try to pull out of a challenge midway through the second half.

Earlier, home manager Jose Mourinho had been sent to the stands, with the United camp having already been incensed by the failure to award Matteo Darmian a penalty, and the Portuguese did not attend his post-match news conference.

Faria delivered just one line on Clattenburg, saying: "I just want to say fantastic work from the referee".
