After six action-packed gameweeks, we can look ahead to the Champions League knockouts, but what a breathless few weeks to get us there.

Teams can take a much needed rest until February now but there was some serious talent on display as Europe's elite gave us a showcase in the group stages, as well as some rising stars in the making.

In their first group stage without Lionel Messi for 16 years, Barcelona struggled and one of the biggest giants of European football fell into the group stage, but there weren't too many shocks elsewhere as the likes of Bayern, Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Man City marched on in their quest for glory.
