Manchester United splashed out £14.5million to sack Erik ten Hag and his backroom staff, the club's staggering new financial figures have revealed.
United today released the accounts for the final three months of 2024 and the compensation packages dished out to Ten Hag and former sporting director Dan Ashworth, who spent just 159 days in the job, have been officially confirmed.
A total amount of £10.4m was given to Ten Hag and his coaching staff after their dismissals in October while Ashworth was awarded £4.1m despite his brief spell at the top of the club's football operation, working under co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
