Manchester United lost the Reserves derby 3-1 to City after being reduced to 10 men early on when Regan Poole was sent off.
Despite holding out until half-time, Brahim Diaz handed the Blues the lead and, although Sean Goss levelled, Isaac Buckley-Ricketts and Paolo Fernandes ensured victory for a team managed by ex-Red Simon Davies.
Soon after a break forward by Matthew Olosunde, it was always going to be an uphill battle for the hosts once Poole was dismissed after only 13 minutes.
