Wayne Rooney's agent Paul Stretford is in China to negotiate a deal which could see the England captain leave Manchester United.
A month on from becoming the club’s all-time top scorer, speculation is growing that the 31-year-old could leave Old Trafford for pastures new having fallen down the pecking order under Jose Mourinho.
According to widespread reports, Rooney’s representative has flown to the Far East to begin talks with interested Chinese Super League clubs over a rumoured £1million-a-week deal - which would see the striker become the highest-paid player in the world.
It has also been suggested the United skipper could even agree the move before the Chinese transfer window shuts next Tuesday.
