Real Madrid beat Barcelona to become first football club in the world to reach 100 million fans on Facebook... but where do English clubs rank?

Real Madrid are winning the La Liga title race on the pitch, but they've also secured an off-field victory too - beating Barcelona to become the first football club in the world to reach 100 million followers on Facebook.

The 11-time European champions posted the news to their social media channels late on Saturday night, after winning a tight battle between themselves and rivals Barca.

Both clubs have now secured the milestone, becoming the first and second to do so - while their English rivals are still some way behind.
