Didier Deschamps has been dealt an injury boost ahead of the World Cup after it has been revealed that Raphael Varane will 'not' be ruled out of the World Cup after he suffered a thigh injury during Manchester United's 1-1 draw to Chelsea.
It looked to be heartbreak for the 29-year-old, after he seemed to overstretch for a challenge and left the field in tears during the second half of Saturday's game, spelling concerns over his fitness for the Qatar Showpiece.
But the injury appears to be much less serious than first thought as, according to journalist Julien Lorens, an MRI scan has revealed that Varane has sustained a lesion to his femoral bicep, that will sideline him for three to four weeks.
