PSG close in on signing Ousmane Dembele after Manchester United and Chelsea failed to make a bid and left door open for French giants to open talks with Barcelona over £18m winger

Paris St German have entered into negotiations with Barcelona for Ousmane Dembele.

The France international winger was anticipating offers from the Premier League and his representatives held tentative discussions with Manchester United and Chelsea but with no bids forthcoming, the door was left ajar for PSG.

PSG are keen to bring a French player into their cosmopolitan squad and hope a deal can be struck with Barcelona keen to sell.

Ousmane Dembele has been told by Barcelona to find himself a new club in this window

Dembele has six months left on contract and has refused a new deal.

Barca would like £18m for him now but PSG will try to drive the price down for the 24-year-old, knowing Barca need to get rid of his salary to ease their efforts to register other players including Arsenal's Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.
