PLAYER RATINGS: Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba provided late Manchester United inspiration but out of sorts Aaron Wan-Bissaka was caught out after RB Leipzig's fast start

It was not to be for Manchester United who despite launching a spirited comeback in the final 10 minutes were dumped out of the Champions League in the group stage.

The Red Devils only needed a draw at RB Leipzig to progress into the last-16 but soon found themselves 2-0 down after 13 minutes and were then three goals behind with 21 minutes to play.

Bruno Fernandes and substitute Paul Pogba pulled goals back in the final 10 minutes but it could not prevent them from slipping into the Europa League.
