Paul Scholes believes Rasmus Hojlund was lucky to still be on the pitch before scoring the winner in Manchester United's 3-2 win over Aston Villa.
The Dane finally opened his Premier League account on Boxing Day, capping a memorable comeback as United erased a two-goal deficit to register their first league win in three weeks.
But Scholes suggested Hojlund, a £72million summer signing from Atalanta, could count themselves lucky not to have been substituted before his 82nd minute strike.
The 20-year-old had been replaced in seven of his previous eight Premier League appearances ahead of Tuesday night, but stayed on against Villa after Marcus Rashford was withdrawn with 10 minutes left.
