Paul Scholes blasts Fred after the Brazilian was 'left wanting AGAIN' in build up to Edin Dzeko's goal for Roma as Man United legend insists it was midfielder's 'job' to prevent Italians' swift attacking move during Europa League thumping at Old Trafford

Paul Scholes has slammed Manchester United midfielder Fred for his role in Edin Dzeko's goal for Roma on Thursday night as the Red Devils legend said the Brazilian was 'left wanting again' at Old Trafford.

United suffered a first half scare in their Europa League semi final first leg against the Italians, with a Lorenzo Pelligrini penalty and a Dzeko tap-in putting the visitors ahead at the break after Bruno Fernandes scored the game's opening goal.

Dzeko bagged his sixth goal in five Old Trafford appearances, finishing off a fine attacking move for Paulo Fonseca's side in which Pelligrini laid the ball on a plate for the veteran to slot home.
