When he arrived this summer, Jose Mourinho hailed Paul Pogba as the final piece of the Manchester United puzzle.
Having already snapped up Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the United boss stressed that he needed one more player – at the time assumed, and later revealed, to be Pogba.
And yet, despite splashing out over £150m on the quartet, Mourinho’s side have stuttered after a strong start to the season – and with all eyes on Pogba, the pieces are not quite fitting together.
So far the former Juventus man has not managed a single goal or an assist since arriving at Old Trafford for his second spell.
