Paul Mitchell is yet to be officially confirmed as Manchester United's new sporting director but reports suggest he is already hard at work for the Old Trafford club.
It has been indicated that Mitchell will be brought in to oversee footballing matters when Sir Jim Ratcliffe completes his purchase of a 25 per cent stake in the club.
The 42-year-old has previously held senior roles at Southampton and Tottenham, helping to sign the likes of Sadio Mane and Son Heung-min.
Mitchell has been out of work since leaving Monaco in the summer having spent three years at the Ligue 1 club.
