Manchester United icon Patrice Evra has revealed legendary former boss Sir Alex Ferguson backed him and Ryan Giggs to become great managers in future.

Left back Evra won five Premier League titles, four League Cups, four Community Shields and a Champions League title across a glittering spell at Old Trafford.

But the 81-cap French international spoke out against managers who assume because they were great players, being a great manager would come naturally.

Evra returned to the Red Devils in September 2019 as a trainee coach at the club's academy while completing his coaching badges.
