This first-ever winter break in Premier League history is providing an invaluable opportunity for the Reds to concentrate on tactical work and fitness, while also embedding new signings into the group.
After arriving on Saturday afternoon and completing an opening session on Sunday, Solskjaer and his staff really turned up the heat on Monday morning – and our cameras had exclusive access to it all.
The session was action-packed from the start as the intensity stepped up, with a series of attack-versus-defence drills and small-sided matches that triggered the players’ competitive streaks.
There was one new face involved in the session, too, as young Academy goalkeeper Jacob Carney took part with his fellow stoppers David De Gea, Sergio Romero and Nathan Bishop, after flying over to boost the numbers in light of two Under-23 keepers taking part in a separate camp in Portugal.
