Ole Gunnar Solskjaer targets player he coached at Man United as his first signing since returning to football with Besiktas

Besiktas are showing interest in Rangers midfielder Tom Lawrence.

The 30-year-old has made 15 appearances across all competition this season, with five goals so far.

However, he has just six months remaining on his contract having failed to agree terms on a deal at Ibrox.

Lawrence is available for free this month, with Ipswich, Burnley and Sheffield United all monitoring the situation.

A move to Besiktas would see him reunite with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who was appointed the side's new manager this week.

Solskjaer coached the Wales international during his time in charge of Manchester United's reserves between 2008 and 2011.
