Ole Gunnar Solskjaer rejects chance to take first managerial role since Manchester United sacking after offer from international side

Former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has rejected an offer to take charge of the Norway women's team.

Solskjaer has been out of a role since being sacked at Manchester United in November 2021, just a month shy of three years in the Old Trafford hotseat.

The 50-year-old has been linked with vacancies at Burnley and Leicester but has so far remained patient when it comes to taking a new role.

And he has now turned down an approach from the women's team of his home nation, who are looking to replace Hege Riise.
