Ole Gunnar Solskjaer lauds Harry Maguire's 'strength of character' after battling back from Mykonos incident and shaky form to clock more game time - 82 hours - than any player in the world during 2020

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has paid tribute to Harry Maguire for emerging from the most difficult period of his career as a strong and dependable leader for Manchester United.

Solskjaer put his faith in Maguire following the player’s arrest on holiday in Mykonos in August, but it looked to have backfired as the 27-year-old endured a torrid start to the new season.

Maguire was criticised for a series of mistakes – notably against Crystal Palace, Brighton and Tottenham – before he was sent off in England’s Nations League defeat to Denmark at Wembley in October.
