After a successful six-month stint with Championship side Nottingham Forest last season, in which he won the plaudits of teammates, coaches and fans alike, Garner joined back up with United for pre-season. His performances were impressive and composed, but still only 20, the English midfielder will benefit from another few months of regular first-team football.
United have already sent a number of players on loan this summer, with Tahith Chong impressing at Birmingham City already, Reece Devine playing for Scottish Premiership side St. Johnstone in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers and Will Fish picking up a couple of Man-of-the-Match awards at Stockport County.
