Ole advises on potential date for McTominay return

The Scotland international picked up a knee injury during our 4-1 Boxing Day win over Newcastle United and was pictured on crutches at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

The boss ruled out the chance of the 23-year-old featuring before the Wolves game in the Premier League on Saturday 1 February, but suggested the homegrown talent may recover in time to play against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, after the subsequent 16-day fixture hiatus.

“Scott's going to be out for a while, for sure,” confirmed Ole in his press conference ahead of Saturday’s visit of Norwich City.

“Well, we won't see him before the winter break anyway, so we'll see him hopefully in February.
