Old Trafford will host its latest WSL fixture – the fourth to be played in front of fans – against Manchester City on 19 November 2023*. Marc Skinner’s side were victorious in the corresponding fixture last season (2-1) which was watched by a record attendance (7,864) at Leigh Sports Village as the title run-in intensified.
More than 60,000 fans attended the two WSL matches at Old Trafford last season and the club is hoping to break the current women’s attendance record at the stadium on derby day when the talents of Skinner’s side, including Lionesses Mary Earps, Katie Zelem and Ella Toone, who are shining for England in the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, perform at the Theatre of Dreams.
