Sir Bobby Charlton and Denis Law, heroes of Sir Matt Busby’s fabled European Cup-winning side, are already acknowledged throughout the Theatre of Dreams.
Both feature, alongside George Best, in the famous United Trinity statue on the stadium’s forecourt, while Law is also immortalised with a statue inside the Stretford End concourse.
Of course, Sir Bobby also has the privilege of having a stand named after him at the ground, but now the pair – with 1,162 United appearances and 486 United goals between them – join the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson, Ryan Giggs and Best in boasting their own dedicated banners.
