Miguel Almiron AGREES a new three-and-a-half year deal at Newcastle - after netting 10 goals in already his career-best season with the club - and insists he's 'worked really hard' to reach new heights under Eddie Howe

Newcastle have signed Miguel Almiron on a new three-and-a-half year deal, the club confirmed on Friday ahead of their crucial Carabao Cup final against Manchester United this weekend.

Almiron has enjoyed a career-best season at St James' Park and has thus been rewarded for his efforts, penning an extension until the summer of 2026.

His 10 league goals this campaign have helped Newcastle soar to new heights in the Premier League, with the club challenging for Champions League football just a point adrift of fourth place.

The Magpies confirmed the news on Friday and wrote on the club's website: 'Miguel Almiron - Newcastle United's leading goalscorer this season - has signed a new three-and-a-half year contact with the club.
