Andrei Kanchelskis says that Manchester United should have left Michael Carrick in control of the club until the end of the season.
Carrick will take charge of Sunday's trip to Chelsea but relinquish his duties once they return as the club have named Ralf Rangnick as the club's new interim manager.
Rangnick has signed a six month deal with the Red Devils - who were eager to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on a temporary basis before hiring a permanent successor in the summer.

Kanchelskis admits he is impressed by the work Rangnick has done at Lokomotiv Moscow as the club’s head of sports and development, but worries United are making a mistake.
